The Retch's DoT is independent of player recovery: hits will inflict it even if the player is on full life and loses their leech immediately, or when the player is unable to recover life due to Strength of Blood. Increases to player recovery, such as (span class="tc -mod")% increased Recovery Rate of Life(/span) or the more specific (span class="tc -mod")% increased total Recovery per second from Life Leech(/span) do not affect the Retch’s damage. Because the DoT is considered reflected damage[1], it is not modified by the attacker’s offensive stats, only by stats on the enemy. Its duration can be extended by Temporal Chains, dealing the same DPS for a longer duration. Each instance of the DoT can deal damage; damage taken is unaffected by the per-second cap on recovery from leech[2]. | ||||
